BY FERRY
The majority of visitors travel by ferry M.V. Hebrides on the Uig (Skye) - Lochmaddy (North Uist) route. Tigh-na-Mara is located about 15 minutes' drive from the Lochmaddy Ferry Terminal.

An alternative sailing by ferry is from Mallaig / Oban - Lochboisdale (South Uist). This is a shorter initial drive but longer ferry journey on M.V. Lord of the Isles. Tigh-na-Mara is located about 60 minutes' drive from the Lochboisdale Ferry Terminal.
